Treat yourself—must visit spas, hair & nail salons

Youth for Us

Let’s face it, the pollution in Mexico City can be challenging for breathing, but also is difficult on your skin. In come Youth for Us, your one stop shop for all sorts of facials, including Hydrafacials (starting at $2500 MXN). I’ve had nothing but great experiences here. You fill out a survey before your services, where they ask questions like, “would you like any add-ons” and “how much explanation do you prefer” as well as “would you like tea after your service(s)” (say yes to that last one). They often have promotions, so make sure you check that tab of their website and/or sign-up for messages via Whatsapp. I always make an appointment, which you can easily do via WhatsApp or their website.

Punto 3 Condesa

Looking to have the quicket, yet most amazing haircut of your life? Consider coming here for all your hair needs. Uriel, is one of the most efficient and amazing hairsytlists I’ve had to date. I appreciate that I can get a head massage, shampoo, haircut, and blowout in less than an hour (costing around 550 MXN without tip). There are certainly more “trendy” or “stylish” places to go in Mexico City, but this one checks all my boxes. Don’t forget to bring cash, you cannot tip on card. Reservations not required, but recommended if you don’t like waiting. They can usually fit you in day-of.

Browtique

For those who know me well, I’ve been on an exploration to figure out the best way to style my eyebrows. I’ve tried everything, from threading to waxing, to henna dying, etc. The great thing about Browtique is not only is it a school training most of Mexico City’s best eyebrow experts, but it’s a salon, too. Yareli is the best (one of their master teachers) and she’s able to do the best “Yumi Brow” aka brow lamination ever. Not looking for something so drastic/serious? She does threading, shaving, and waxing, too. Appointments preferred and recommended.

Calma Nail Bar

Great place to get your nails done. Terrific owner, terrific staff and terrific free drinks (beer, wine, tea, water) during your service. Just can’t beat it.

Nima Urban Spa

This is the place if you want a day spa while being in the heart of the city. You can get facials, nails, massages. Anything you want. Don’t forget to bring a swimsuit to try their sauna and hydrotherapy circuit. follow their Instagram for the latest specials.
